The Fashionable Life

Join us for a tour at Barnaba Fornasetti's residence in Milan - a dedicated tribute to the 'Fornasetti' style, with every square inch decorated with furniture, wallpaper, and decorative objects from the line. Barnaba is the creative director of the eponymous design atelier founded by his legendary father, Piero. In his work and in his home, Barnaba carries on his father’s singular vision, surrounding himself with poetic, whimsical, and surreal creations.

Every room brims with Fornasetti's signature furniture and curios - hand painted trays, ceramic vases, a bar cart adorned with trompe l'oeil bows - that blur the line between utility and decoration art. His portfolio blends historic neoclassical and surrealist references with an inimitable elegance and wit.  "It comes naturally to me," he says of keeping his father's legacy alive. "This has always been my life. I see furniture and decoration as a way of being and as a means on injecting joy into a world otherwise obsessed with minimalism." Maybe it all simply runs in the Fornasetti blood. His father was a pioneer in this field, mixing iconography and nods to history, and Barnaba successfully brought his style back to life in the residence. The message is conveyed clearly: 'A house is not just a design'. We can see clearly that Fornasetti's story truly speaks through at every turn and corners of the space - which in his case, becomes a living masterpiece.

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."

Coco Chanel

Life is simply too short not to surround yourself with beautiful thingsAfter all, we are what we see, eat, wear, breathe, hear, and surround ourselves with. If inner happiness starts at home, let's make sure it yields as an advantage to our well-being, kinship, style, and ultimately, existence.
